Château de la Pépinière (Arboretum Castle) 19th century

This 19th century castle was built on the site of a 15th-16th century manor house. Here, we’re at the extremity of the old crane quay, cited in a text of 1441, where one has a good view over the river and pleasure port; the undulations in the meadow are all that’s left of the large naval sites, very active from the 13th century but closed since 1860.
